Table Tennis Report number four
Premier Division
Table Tennis Legends are bringing experience and youth to table tennis. In experience they have veteran county players Andy Walker and Stuart Vincent while in youth they have Brendon Bennett and Charlie Usher .
This week they played the Horsham Spinners who are one place below them in second place and won 7-2.
Trebles for Andy Walker and Brendon Bennett plus one from Charlie Usher.
For Spinners it was one apiece from Rory Scott and Graham Beaney .
Assassins move into second place following their 9-0 win against Crawley Knights . Maximum wins for Keigo Burnham, Ben Worley and David Champneys.
Divergents did well to defeat Hang em High 5-4. For Divergents Michael Robinson had three good wins while Sally Hughes had two wins including a five setter win over Michael Bridger. For Hang Em High it was two for Andrew Sharland and one win each for Jim Skinner and Michael Bridger.
Dynamos move up two places following their 6-3 defeat of Ping Panthers.
For the Dynamos team Richard Cosens, Richard Caddy and Matthew Caddy it was two wins each.
For Ping Panthers Two for Edward Harvey and one for Steven Ive.
Division One
Top of the table clash between Thunderbolts and Pingwins ended with Thunderbolts coming through 5-4 winners thanks to two apiece from both Robert Watson and Andrew Foster with David Metcalfe chipping in with the important one. Pingwins Brett Holt despite winning three ended up on the losing side, team mate David Polhill won the other one.
Spin Masters beat Spinderella’s 7-2. For Spin Masters Claudio Bagaini and Phil Tash both with trebles and John Bridger with one. Spinderella’s Annabel Bridger and Jennifer Watkins won one each although Jennifer went to five sets in all her matches winning one and Annabel went to four and five sets also winning one.
Blade Runners Vs King Pongs with Blade Runners winning 5-4. For Blades another fine treble for Peter Vincent with one each for Colin Cooper and Dan Polhill. For K.P’s it was two apiece for Darius Mayhew and Nikita Kalyazin .
X Men defeated New Avengers 5-4 in a very close match. For X Men it was two wins for Angus Ogg and Peter Dunsby with Peter Caddy one. For New Avengers a treble for Luke Goff and one for Robert Goff.
