Denshaw Village Hall was the venue for last night's Div1/2 Handicap Cup Final between Grotton and Springhead, both from the second division. Springhead were represented by Howard Travis, Brian Higgins and Peter Buckley. They had a 119 points start but a strong Grotton team of Peter Morris, Ryan Conway and Steve Oliver steadily chipped away at the deficit throughout the evening. Each match was hard-fought and often tense, and after 7 matches it looked like being a close finish. However, Grotton seemed to raise their game and eventually ran out worthy winners by 43 points. Man of the match was Ryan Conway, who accrued a massive 72 points for his team.
