Annual Championship 8th February Priory School

Just a short explanatory note regarding this year's championship. There are several competitions over the day so if you are thinking of joining in then it is not just for the top players in the league, there is stuff for all.

The overall day is being subsidised by the league, out of profit made from the race night held during the previous season. The cost per entry is only £5 for player or £3 for juniors. We are hoping therefore for a better turn out this year, especially as last year's event was cancelled due to a disappointing lack of entries.

The competitions this year include the Open Singles, Consolation singles (for first round losers) Ladies Singles, Division 1 singles, Division 2 singles, Doubles, Junior Singles and the special Hard Bat singles (with hard bats (no sponge) provided on the day. If other ideas are put forward then, if time permits, these may be considered.

In short the day is full for all. You won't be playing and after getting knocked out in the first round go home. So prepare for a full day. Excellent value at £5 (£3 for juniors) and should be fun !!!!
