Brandon has grown into the biggest club in the Sunderland league and has 4 home games every Monday. Unfortunately the spectators that turned up weren't there for The Joules v Magic match, but the match in the adjacent Court between the two main contenders for honours in the first Division Brandon Air and Mount. There were occasions when you would need a knife to cut the atmosphere and occasionally the language.

Magic with their regular squad of Ian Luke and Ross were overawed by the two youngsters of Joules, Freya Williams and Harry Flynn and playing up for them Colin Pritchard, both he and Harry being former members of the Durham club. Joules  stormed into a 4 game lead and looked like they had the match in the bag

However Magic dug deep to take the doubles and the following 3 games to take the match to 4-4 with 2 to play.

However Freya proved too strong for Ross and it was left to Ian to fight from 2-1 down to take the last 2 games resulting in a 5-5 draw on the night. Congratulations and pleasantries were swopped leaving everybody happy with the result and smiling as they left.

As a footnote it was the same score in the Air Mount game
