The County Junior squad of Ricardo Bolanos, Sam Cafaero, Jack Green, Nikit Sajev, Emily Beasley and Milly Green travelled to Draycott to play their first three matches of the 2018-19 County Championships season.

Their first match was against Yorkshire which was a hard fought draw, Jack Green won both his matches and singles from Milly Green, Emily Beasley and Ricardo Bolanos gained the draw. Warwickshire stood 2-5 up but the Yorkshire team were untroubled recovering for the draw

Second match was against Worcestershire and the team ran out 9-1 winners only Hawley Ellicott won for the Worcestershire side with a 3-2 win over Jack Green while Ricardo Bolanos reversed that score beating Hawley in 3-2 all the rest of the matches were 3-0 for the Warwickshire team

Final match of the day was against a very strong Cheshire side, Sam Cafaero played No 1 in this match but could do nothing against the Cheshire 1 and 2 players. Only Nikit Sajev and Jack Green's wins over Cheshire No 3 Liam Bibby were available to the Warwickshire side as they went down 8-2

1 win, 1 draw, 1 loss a fairly good start for the Junior Squad whose next matches are in April 2019
