A very close match which swung both ways, Grays came back from 2-0 down to go 3-2 in front and then 4-3 in front, but Basildon fought back to lead 5-4 and then went on to win a 5 setter doubles match to clinch the game. Colin Clements unbeaten on the night with a brace for Tony Ayliffe and a brace for Dmitri Kisil for the home team
