Closing Date for entries is Friday 27th February 2015.
Previous entries have been disappointing for what should be a major event in Derbyshire's calendar. In view of this some changes have been made in an attempt to encourage more Derbyshire players to take part.
While the men's singles is still in groups a consolation event has been introduced this year. Players finishing 3rd or 4th in their group will automatically be entered into this consolation event at no extra charge. It is
hoped that this will encourage more players to enter this event.
With the increasing number of older players a new event has been added in the form of an over 60's singles. This will enable our long serving members an opportunity to take part in an event aimed at them.
The aim of these changes is to make the championships more interesting to all players as they will have more chances to play throughout the day.
Please encourage your members to enter these championships and return the event to the major status that this county should attain.
Refreshments will be available to purchase throughout the day.

Umpiring Opportunities
The number of umpires officiating in Derbyshire has declined over the last few years. Those remaining are obviously getting older each year. The county would be interested in hearing from anyone who may be interested in becoming a county umpire or is willing to help at events. Please contact Mike Payne on 01332
