Abbie Hurley shines at England National Schools event
The three-day event featured boys’ and girls’ competitions in three age groups as England took on Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man.
Abbie Hurley partnered with Rebecca Savage in the Under-19’s Girls doubles and came third. Abbie played in the individual event on the Sunday and defeated the number one in the group - Lucy McIvor from Ireland. Unfortunately, she went on to lose to the number 3 seed from Scotland. On count-back she came 3rd in the group and went into the consolation. Abbie managed to win the consolation event.
