It is with great sadness we have to report the death on Monday, 10th June of Mike Smith (79), Club Secretary at Howard TTC. Mike had been unwell for sometime and had spent the previous 3 months in hospital.

Mike was Chairman of The League from 1987 to 1993.

He was previously secretary of Rainham 83 until 2005 when Howard TTC started.

Mike was the President and long serving secretary of the Howard Table Tennis Club, and was instrumental in the setting up of the centre. He was also a coach & gave many hours coaching young players on Saturday mornings prior to Covid.

He will be sadly missed by the club, players and table tennis community.

Our sincere condolences are extended to all his friends and family.

Mike's funeral will take place on Thursday 11th July at Medway Crematorium, commencing at 11.30am.
