Parkwood started their campaign with a comfortable 8-2 victory away to Boxley 2. Vince Spicer and Ross Childs went unbeaten although Childs was taken to a decider by Lyndon Gurr. Dave Hopkins added Parkwood's other 2 points losing out to Barry Roles in 5. Roles/Gurr teamed up to take the Doubles for Boxley's 2nd point. Steve Neilson stepped in at short notice toplay up for Boxley but was unable to trouble the Parkwood trio.
