For the first time this season Howard 3 were able to field a full team with Gregg Hackers helping them out by playing up from the 4ths as well as performing on the same evening for his usual team. Howard ran out 7-3 winners against Chatham Cumberland and Hackers matched Alex Clarke's double with both players losing out to Chatham's Trevor Towers. John Kane had the distinction of winning the Player of the Match by virtue of his hatrick including holding his nerve against a Towers fightback from 2 legs adrift. Cumberland nicked the Doubles in 5 to gain a 3rd point.
