This result was a little hard on Rainham 3 as half of the games went to a deciding leg but the home side only won one of these when Tim Davie got the better of Boxley's Gary Hentschel. Davie's teammates Jaspal Plaha and Peter Baker both battled hard with no reward as Lyndon Gurr and Barry Roles  went unbeaten. This was Gurr's first maximum of the season and included an unlikely looking comeback against Jaspal from 2 legs down. He then combined with Roles to take the Doubles in the decider as the clock struck 11.20pm.
