On a sad note, we learned that Ian Moore from the Unionist club lost his fight with Illness this week and passed away. His funeral will be at South Shields Crematorium, John Reid road on Friday 16^th of Decemberat 11-30am

Mike Lyons took Player of the Match for Ouston A in division 2 as they scraped a 6-4 win away to Cramlington Trojans. Old England Fatts drew 5-5 with Matfen’s Tribunes and Neil Wilkinson won another 3 games for Ouston B as they beat Cramlington Swifts 8-2.

In Division 3, Brandon Anacondas beat Backspin B 9-1, Matfen B beat Cramlington Cobras 8-2 and Cramlington Trojans  beat Sacriston Comets 7-3.

Robert Renton played for both of Mount’s teams this week and although the Casuals proved too tough, he picked up a solid 3 wins in Division 2 against Ouston A. Rod Roberts took 2, Alan Livingstone 1 and the pair combined to take the doubles giving Mount B a 7-3 win.

Cramlington Jaguars enjoyed a comfortable 10-0 win over Cramlington Knights in Division 5 and Brandon Energy beat Sacriston Eagles 8-2. Patrick Nicholson took Player of the Match there but Jack Pugh did well to win 2 for the Eagles.

Anyone wishing to do so can have a try at ping pong. Bats and balls will be provided and there will be no charge for participants.

The Handicap cup final takes place at Cramlington TTC on Thursday evening the 28^th between The Tigers and Corinthians starting at 7pm.

I can now confirm that the semi finals of the Team Handicap KO Cup 2015-16 will take place at the Tyneside Badminton Centre, Bowness Road, Slatyford, Newcastle, NE5 2TA on Tuesday 5 April from 7.00pm.
