Division 1
Ulverston v Saints A
Saints A travelled to Ulverston hoping to complete their first match of the season after having both of the first 2 matches abandoned or postponed. Ulverston have only completed 1 match, a home 6-4 win against Furness CC.
Keith Dymond got Ulverston off to a good start winning the first singles, and also won the final game of the evening leaving him with 2/3 singles wins on the night. Saints A hit back in style though, after losing the first game they went on a 6 game winning run. With all three of their players; Matt O’Flynn, Steven Cairns and Lert Wimon claiming 2 singles victories each. Andrew Dorrian the other Ulverston player to have success, after a straight sets win over Steven. Matt and Lert were partners in the doubles triumph to secure a comfortable win for Saints. Ulverston will be hoping to get back on track next week however they do have a tough fixture against Saints! Saints A travel to Thwaites A hoping to continue their good run of form.

Hawcoat Park B v Hawcoat Park C
Hawcoat Park B were also looking to complete their first match of the season as they played fellow Club team C. The C team were coming into this after a 5-5 draw with Thwaites last week.
Hawcoat B’s higher quality was apparent throughout this contest even with Lee Crawford stepping into the B team from the C team due to player availability. Keith Allen was the main man, winning all 4 of the matches he was involved in, including partnering Keith Mallinson to a straight sets doubles win. Keith Mallinson and Lee Crawford also had a good night individually winning 2 of their 3 singles. There were some positives for Hawcoat C as Francis Pajarillaga ensured they came away with 2 points as he won 2 games. A good showing from Hawcoat B who will be looking to gain some momentum however, it's a tough start for the C team that doesn’t get much easier as they face the Hawcoat 1st team next time round!

Thwaites v Hawcoat A
Thwaites A were without their star player, Scott Barker as they played host to a Hawcoat A side who’s only appearance so far was a 6-4 win over Furness cricket.
Tony Whitehouse and Steve Bushell were on form as they were unbeaten throughout the night. Tony only dropping one set and Steve partnering Keith Mallinson to doubles success. Keith, who played 2 games across the week after featuring for Hawcoat B on Wednesday also secured a singles win. Thwaites clearly struggled against the top opposition however did come out with 2 points after Sam Huddleston and Nick Woods claimed 1 win each. They will be hoping for better next week when they travel to Furness CC whilst Hawcoat A will take confidence into their first inter club game of the season when they take on the B team.

Saints v Furness CC
Furness CC travelled to St Bernard's looking for their first win of the season after facing back-to-back losses. They faced a Saints side who had won there first and only match of the season on opening week against Hawcoat C.
Sophie and Paul Ackred stole the show yet again for Saints as they both were able to win their singles matches, the Furness CC team of Peter Buxton, David Coulter and Neil Honeyman also got a win each on the board. However, David and Neil came up short in the doubles allowing the Ackred team to keep their 100% record this season. Saints coming out winners and will be hoping to keep up their good start when they play Ulverston next week.
Division 2
Saints B v Saints C
The 2 early season promotion favourites faced off at St Bernard's, both sides cam in to the match off the back of convincing victories last week.
The McLoughlin brothers have started the season well and continued their good form on Wednesday. Connor was victorious in all three of his singles matches whilst Adam was able to win 2. Saints B’s Dave Pedley won 2 matches whilst David Graham and John Taylor also secured 1 win. The double was claimed by Adam and Connor as they continued their 100% doubles average, and secured a win for the C team.

St Bernard's v Ulverston A
St Bernard's came into this with a hint of optimism after narrowly loosing out to Ulverston B last week. Ulverston B were hoping to put the defeat to Saints C behind them and get back to winning ways.
Ulverston dominated this contest despite the player of the match coming from the Saints side. Harrison Quary has had a good start to the season and continued this as he won all 3 of his games on the night. The other matches were however all won by Ulverston with Paul Leach, Terry Arrowsmith and Cian Nutt all getting two wins each on the board with Ulverston also winning the doubles tie! A good confidence boost for the Ulverston team to take into there Derby next week!
Thwaites B v Ulverston B
Thwaites B came into this off the back of a defeat in their first match last week against Ponderosa. Ulverston A had 1 win and 1 loss to their name.
Thwaites dominated this game with Alfie Thorpe, Keith Patterson and Jack Andrews all winning 3/3 singles matches. Keith securing his first wins in the league and also partnering Alfie to success in the doubles. Although the result might seem tough for the Ulverston team, there were some positives with 5 matches on the night being decided over 5 sets. Many sets were very close and settled after deuce meaning they could have gone either way.
