HPC questioned the legality of the rubber being used by a player from Furness CC

Furness CC questioned the fairness of Hawcoat Park A fielding a weakened team against Hawcoat Park C in the final match of the season which resulted in and 8-2 victory for HPC.

This effectively relegated  Furness

1.       Management Committee ruled that the match was void. They suggested a play-off match between Furness and HPC but this was not accepted by either team.

2.       Management Committee ruled therefore that the HPA v HPC match should be replayed which was not accepted by HPC.

Management Committee agreed that likely result of the void match being replayed would have been HPA 10 HPC 0

Management Committee agreed that no real advantage was being gained

St Pats B questioned why Furness A were allowed to forfeit against Thwaites having done so in previous seasons

Management committee agreed that Furness A acted against the spirit of the game
