Last week saw the conclusion to the first half of the season in the Bolton Table Tennis League. Ramsbottom Town A who had drawn level with Glodwick at the top of the table then had to play arch-rivals of old Flixton Cricket Club A who applied the pressure and were able to beat them 20-17 despite a resisting nine from Michael Moir. So Glodwick once again move in front as they did not have much trouble with a two-man Radcliffe Cricket Club winning 25-5 with nines from Amirul Hussain and Sean Doherty. Flixton’s win narrows the gap making only 15 points across the top three teams who are well ahead of the rest of the pack.
