Amlwch A take-over at the top of Divison One following a 28-8 win over Police APaul Collins secured a fine singles maximum and a three straight doubles victory with Keith WilliamsMark Pugh representing Police A beat Ian Ault 3-1 but went down in a five-game thriller to Keith Williams. Another five-game tussle witnessed Ian Ault streaking clear in the decider 11-1 to overcome Brian CookeTrinity A is second following a 22-16 win at the expense of Y Morfa AJohn Chan secured a maximum and Mathew Fox was involved in two five-game matches beating Chris Henderson but losing out to Rob StanwayEddie Chan also edged out Chris Henderson in yet another five-game encounter. Rhyl A remain unbeaten and have two games in hand of the second and third placed teams. Rhyl A beat two-man Llandudno 30-4 with Eliot Platt securing a maximum. The doubles went to a fifth game decider and Graham Heath took a game from both Barrie Russ and Glen PhoenixAmlwch B played two games this week beating Henllan A 19-17 and losing out to Police A 15-21. Caren Ault and Ben Sutcliffe made their first division debuts. Ben beat Henllan’s Jonny Hughes and Caren beat Police’s James Wan. Caren had clear advantage in fifth game deciders against Jonny HughesSean Lucas and Tony Wan only to lose out 9-11, 9-11 and 10-12 respectively. Reg John won five of his six singles matches finding only Mark Pugh too strong. 

Rhyl B extended their lead in the second division approaching the halfway point of the season beating fifth placed Trinity B 30-7. Chris Markey and John Hughes both won their matches dropping only one game. Norman Stagg also won his three singles but was taken to fifth-game deciders by both Elliot Goddard and Andrew ChamberlainCraig-y-don A is unbeaten and lie second in the standings following 29-4 victory Y Morfa BTom Bird secured a maximum and Ross Lander only dropped one game. The game of the contest witnessed Mike Trbojecvic representing Y Morfa B beating Ged Haresnape 11-7 in a fifth game decider. Henllan B is up to third place after regaining the winning thread in a 20-17 win over Craig-y-don B. This despite David Roe securing a maximum for Craig-y-don BDon Grigg beat Dave Strange over five games and with Iain MacGillivray he won the doubles also a five-game thriller. Dave Strange then won a five-game battle against John Lovegrove but it was not quite enough. Police B sit mid table after a comfortable 30-4 win of Rhyl C. Rhyl’s first season player Taylor Tabnor took a game from both Meirion Williams and Nigel McLaughlin and fellow newcomer Bridget Prescott was only just denied 9-11 in the fifth by Alan Lavery.
