In the first division Trinity A remain second following a narrow 22-19 win over LlandudnoStuart Deadenwon his singles dropping only game to Steve Nicholls. However, no less than five matches went to a fifth game decider. Eddie Chan was involved in four of these battles   beating both Rob Walker and Steve Nicholls; but losing out to Graham Heath and in the doubles with his partner Stuart Dearden. The other five-game thriller witnessed Alan Hopper beating Rob WalkerRhyl A eased passed Police A 23-12 and is only eight points behind in third with two games in hand. Glen Phoenix secured a maximum and Elliot Platt won his singles dropping only one game to James Wan. They teamed up in the doubles and found it much tougher winning 12-10 in the fifth at the expense Roger Lee and Brian CookeJames Wan beat Barrie Russ in the other five -game encounter. Henllan A remain without a win, this week losing to Y Morfa A 19-23. Andy Horton won all this singles in five-game matches, the closest coming back from 6-10 down in fifth to Sean LucasPaul Hulme beat Rob Stanway in the fifth-game decider, but this was not enough. Henllan A lost two matches in three straight and Chris Henderson gained a valuable three points for Y Morfa.

In the second division Rhyl B is thirty-five points clear at the top of the table, beating Police B 27-5. Norman Stagg made a welcome return securing a maximum, he was ably supported by John Hughes who only dropped one game to Peter Roberts. Peter beat Fred Moore in three straight and Alan Lavery took one game from Fred. Craig y Don A is second, overcoming Trinity B 27-15. Ady Waugh proved the strongest player on the night although he was pushed to 13-11 in the fifth by Elliot Godard. Elliott was involved in two other five-game matches, but he repelled both Tom Bird and Ged HaresnapeRob Stewart also prevailed in a fifth game decider again at the expense of Ged. Henllan B is third, twenty-five points adrift of Craig-y-don A. This week they beat Y Morfa B 29-9. Iain McGillivrey won his singles but was taken to the fifth by Dave MeadowsDon Grigg also won his singles dropping two games on the night. Steve Davies was the only winning Y Morfa B player squeezing past John Lovegrove 11-8 in the fifth. Rhyl C is yet to open their account, but Steve Lowe won all his singles for the loss of only game to David Roe. But the Craig-y-don Bplayers Dave Strange and Billy Hayes each won two games, so they won 22-14.
