In the first division Amlwch A beat winless Henllan A 30-3, Paul Hulme representing Henllan A was competitive against both Ian Ault and Keith Williams taking a game from each. Harold Furber and Melvyn Booker took a game in the doubles. Paul Collins is top of the individual standings and secured another maximum here. In the battle to be runner-up Trinity A narrowly took Rhyl A’s unbeaten start to the season 19-18. Eliot Platt lost his first singles encounter of the season to John Chan without winning a game. This ensured that John Chan won all his singles bouts and he teamed up with Stuart Dearden to win the doubles in a five-game thriller. Notable performances from Rhyl A included Glen Phoenix beating Stuart Deardenover four games and Barrie Russ beating Eddie Chan over five games. Y Morfa A beat third-placed Police A23-18. Andy Horton won all his singles dropping just two games and paired with Chris Henderson to win a five-game doubles match. In two further five-game battles Brian Cooke overcame Rob Stanway and James Wan beat Chris HendersonLlandudno beat Amlwch B 22-12 despite Reg John winning his three singles for the loss of only two games. He teamed-up with Emyr Owen in the doubles for a fine 14-12 win in a five-game rubber. However, Graham HeathSteve Nicholls and Andy Lunt did not drop a game against Matthew Winnett and Ben Sutcliffe. The previous week Llandudno beat a weakened Y Morfa A 30-5. Captain Steve Nicholls starred for Llandudno securing a maximum. He was ably supported by both Andy Lunt and Graham Heath who each won their singles for the loss of only two games.

In Division Two the performance of the week or perhaps season witnessed thirteen-year -old Tom Bird come back from 5-9 down in fifth to beat the previously unbeaten Chris MarkeyJohn Hughes was also beaten for the first time this season by Ady Waugh in another five-game tussle. However, in this clash of the two unbeaten teams it was Rhyl B that prevailed 24-15 and they are now thirty-six points clear in the title race. Other fifth game encounters saw Ady Waugh beat Fred Moore who in turn beat the prodigy Tom Bird. A good team effort by Trinity B ensured a 21-17 victory over Craig-y-don BRob Stewart and Elliot Goddardboth won two singles and together they won the doubles. Andrew Chamberlain chipped in with a three-game win at the expense of Billy Hayes. Arguably the key game witnessed Elliot Goddard beat on loan A-team player Ady Waugh 11-8 in the fifth. Police B beat Y Morfa B 29-9 the key wins were Peter Roberts winning in the fifth against Steven Davis a feat repeated by Alan Lavery at the expense of Mike Trbojevic. Mike did extract a five-game victory overNigel McLaughlin. Henllan B is up to third following a 24-7 win over Rhyl C. Iain McGillivray proved the strongest player on the evening, Steve Lowe responded for Rhyl C and overcame both Chris Watkins andJohn Lovegrove in three-straight.
