The first division this week provided the final class between the top two teams. Amlwch A ran out 27-13 winners over Rhyl A to effectively cement the league title. Keith Williams only dropped one game to David DanielsPaul Colins was taken to a fifth game decider by Eliot Platt and dropped a game to David Daniels. The only win on the night for Rhyl A was another five-game encounter where David Daniels prevailed at the expense of Ian AultAmlwch A remain unbeaten and is seventy-five points clear at the top and they have only three matches to play. Police A beat Henllan A by the narrowest of margins, the opening two games both went to fifth game deciders. Sean Lucas beat James Wan from two one down and Brian Cooke won a thriller with the help of some faulty serving by Paul Hulme in a tense end to the fifth game. In the final game the two unbeaten players clashed, here Sean Lucas beat Brian Cooke in three straight games but it was not enough, Police A won 19-18. Llandudno have leap-frogged Y Morfa A in the first division table, having accumulated one more point after ten fixtures. This follows a 23-15 win by Llandudno over Y Morfa A. Andy Lunt proved to be the strongest player on the night dropping just two games to Andy Horton. The two Andy’s met again in the doubles and Llandudno prevailed in another five-game thriller. The third five-game encounter witnessed Andy Horton prevailing 11-9 in the decider at the expense of Graham Heath.

In the second division Y Morfa B put up a spirited display going down 8-28 to runaway league leaders Rhyl AChris Markey secured a maximum for the league leaders, but Dave Meadows representing Y Morfa B beat Fred Moore over four games and he also took a game from John Hughes. The game of the night went the way John Hughes 12-10 in the fifth at the expense of Mike Trbojevic. Mike also took a game from Fred Moore and John Hughes also dropped a game to Steven Davies but he remains at the top of the individual standings by the narrowest of margins over Chris Markey. Second placed Craig y Don A won 26-8 against fourth placed Henllan BRoss Lander secured a maximum and Tom Bird won his three but was taken to a fifth game decider by Don GriggJohn Lovegrove and Don Grigg provided the two Henllan B wins they both beat Ged Haresnape over four games. Trinity B is up to third after a 30-5 win against Rhyl C. Both Elliott Godard and Rob Stewart dropped a game to Pat Peak, she also took a game from Alan HopperAndy Chamberlain won the opening two games against Alan Hopper before losing the only five-game encounter that evening.
