In the Handicap Cup semi-final, it is Llandudno who progress to final following Reg John having to forfeit his final two games. With the scores at 350- 387, Reg would have needed to restrict his opponents to an average of 21 points in each game. Andy Lloyd beat each of his first division players and Ben Sutcliffe beat Andy Lunt 40-37 in the closest game. This bodes well for Amlwch B next season when they play in the top-flight.

In the first division, Amlwch A rounded off the season with an emphatic 30-3 victory over seventh placed Henllan A to win the league by 117 points. Ian Ault was in fine form and landed a maximum. Paul Collins dropped one game to Paul Hulme and Keith Williams also dropped a game to Jonny Hughes.

Rhyl B beat Craig Y Don A 21-19 to finish sixth in the division in their first season in the topflight. Tom Bird representing Craig-y-don A won all his singles and finished tenth overall in the individual standings, here he outpointed seventh placed John Hughes 3-1. The closest singles match witnessed Chris Markey beat Ross Lander over five games. Both were involved in the doubles, this was an even closer affair with John Hughes and Chris winning 11-9 in the fifth.

In the second division, it is advantage Henllan B in the race for second place with one game left to play. This week Henllan Bbeat Trinity B 27-13 with Harold Furber winning each of his singles matches, dropping one game to Rob Stewart. Rob beat both Iain MacGillivray and Don Grigg in a pair of five game thrillers. Don’s other two encounters both went to a fifth game decider he prevailed against John Lovegrove but lost out to Ellis Hughes.

Police B is eight points adrift of Henllan B following a 14-25 reversal against champions Amlwch B. No one player dominated in this fixture, Peter Roberts became the first player to beat Andy Lloyd in the league this season, he in turn he was outpointed by both Reg John and Ben SutcliffeReg John was denied a maximum by Kevin Evans 11-9 in their fifth game decider.

In a clash of the bottom two teams Craig-y-don B beat Amlwch C 20-14. Emyr Owen representing the islanders secured a maximum. Bridget Prescott was involved in two five encounters beating Samuel Clark but losing out to Deio Rogers, his first win of the season. David Roe and Keith Potter both won two singles each and teamed up to land the doubles and the victory.

Sixth placed Rhyl C beat fifth placed Y Morfa B 27-17. Taylor Tabinor was in fine form beating Mike Trbojevic and Steven Davies in five-game battles before going down 10-12 in the fourth against David MeadowsSteve Lowe won all his singles over four games. Marcus Wilton-Jones beat both Mike Trbojevic and David Meadows before losing out to Steven Davis in another five-game match. The doubles proved to be an equally tight affair with Rhyl C prevailing 11-8 in the fifth.
