In the preliminary rounds of the divisional cup competitions Trinity A raced to an unassailable 6-1 lead thanks to both John Chan and Stuart Dearden winning two matches without dropping a game. Eddy Chan chipped with a four-game victory over Rob Walker and Trinity A won the doubles to secure the victory. Trinity A have ensured an away trip to face Rhyl B in the quarterfinals.
In the second division cup tie, Y Morfa B comfortably knocked out Amlwch C. Dave Meadows won his three singles. Y Morfa B have ensured a home tie against Police B in the quarterfinals.
In the first division, Llandudno move into third place after a 24-19 win at the expense of Y Morfa A. Andy Lunt won each of singles matches but was taken to a fifth game decider by both Jason Coe and Rob Stanway. The doubles, another five-game epic in which Rob and Jason gained some compensation for their narrow singles defeats. Rob Walker and Chris Hendersonproduced yet another five-game battle, here Rob came out on top.
In the second division, Trinity B is up to second position in the table at the end of 2022 following a 25-10 victory over Henllan C. Josh Parry was responsible for the ten points secured by Henllan C, he won each of singles although he was taken to a fifth game deciders by both Andrew Chamberlain and Ellis Hughes. Josh also paired up with Peter Barrow to win a game in their double’s loss to Rob Stewart and Andrew Chamberlain.
Henllan B move into joint-third place in the table with games in hand following a 28-11 victory over Craig-y-don B. Jonny Hughes and Ian MacGillivray each won their singles although Jonny was pushed to 11-9 in the fifth by Bob Hughes. Bob beat Don Grigg over four games who in turn beat Dave Strange over five games.
