In the first division, Police A remain at the top despite losing 13-23 to sixth placed Rhyl A. John Hughes was the man of the match securing a maximum. Tight five-game matches included an 11-8 victory by David Daniels over Tony Wan and victory for the Rhyl Ateam of John and David in the doubles.
Henllan A is up to second following a 27-14 win at the expense of Y Morfa A. Paul Hulme won all three of his singles. Rob Stanway beat Jonny Hughes in four and Melvyn Booker over five games.
Amlwch A move menacingly in to third beating Llandudno 30-7. The Champions unleashed a new player Isaac Gee and he only dropped one singles game on the night to Steve Nicholls. Isaac teamed up with Paul Collins to land a five-game doubles encounter. Steve Nicholls took Keith Williams to a fifth game decider before losing out. Rob Walker prevented Paul Collins from securing a maximum by winning the third game 12-10.
In division two, Craig Y Don A extend their winning streak to seven games beating Rhyl C 24-8 and Y Morfa B 28-5. Resistance was provided by Steven Lowe representing Rhyl C who beat both Ady Waugh and Dave Foster in three straight games. Steven Davies representing Y Morfa B became the second player to beat Ady Waugh in a four-game battle. However, Ross Lander won all six of his singles matches dropping just one game to Steve Lowe to top the individual Standings.
Police B also remain unbeaten in six matches and lie second in the table following wins against Craig y Don B 19-17 and over third placed Trinity B 30-6. Ged Haresnape proved a difficult opponent; he beat Stan Wan 12-10 in the fifth game decider and came from 9-4 down in the fourth game to beat Peter Roberts 12-10. Ged teamed up with Bob Hughes in the doubles winning in three straight games, but Police B maintained their unbeaten start to the season. Police B strongest team eased past Trinity B, Peter Roberts secured a maximum and Kevin Evans dropped two games in a five-game thriller against Roy Williams. Stan Wan also only dropped two games on the night in a five-game battle against Robert Stewart. Police B having played a game less than their title rivals are thirty-five points behind Craig y Don A and one point ahead of Trinity B.
Trinity C are now up to fourth following a 25-14 victory against Craig y Don B. Ellis Hughes won his singles dropping just one game to Bob Hughes. Alan Hopper was involved in three five-game thrillers losing out to Ged Haresnape but beating Bob Hughes and winning the doubles with Ellis Hughes.
Henllan B are fifth after losing 15-20 to Rhyl C, only being able to field two players. Steve Lowe beat both Chris Watkins and Iain MacGillivray without losing a game. The closest encounter witnessed Chris beat Marcus Wilton-Jones 11-9 in the fifth. Iain also needed five games to overcome Taylor Tabner.
Amlwch C beat bottom of the table Craig y Don C 28-12, Charlie Hadcock secured a maximum. Enir Wyn Coates and Bill Wellswere both involved in five game matches against Arwyn Hughes and Mark Hadcock, winning one each against different opponents. It was no surprise when Bill and Enir teamed up in the doubles that this too was a five-game encounter, they were beaten 8-11 in the decider.
