In the Handicap Cup round of sixteen, Amlwch B were set the task of restricting Trinity B below an average of 32 points per game. John Lovegrove beat James Austin 40-39, Rob Stewart achieved 39 and Andy Chamberlain 35 points against Alfred Mathews. But Amlwch B met their target in the other seven encounters with captain Andy Lloyd keeping his opponents to an average of only nineteen points to help secure a 504-461 victory for the islanders. The reward for Trinity B in giving Amlwch B a second chance to play this tie is a semi-final against Henllan A in the President’s Trophy. Amlwch B have secured a home tie against Trinity A in the quarterfinal of the Handicap Cup.

In the first Division, the many times rearranged fixture witnessed Llandudno beat Henllan A 24-16. No one player dominated, Andy Lunt and Graham Heath both won two matches for Llandudno as did Paul Hulme and Josh Parry for Henllan A, with five of these encounters being resolved in a fifth game deciders. However, Steve Nicholls beat Jonny Hughes in three straight games and captain Steve teamed up with Andy Lunt to win the doubles without dropping a game to secure the victory.

In the second division, Police B is now within sixteen points of Craig-y-don A at the top of the table having played the same number of fixtures. The ‘man of the match’ was however Dave Meadows who won all his singles beating Stan Wan in three straight, Nigel McLaughlin over four games and Peter Roberts 11-8 in a fifth game decider. Mike Trbojevic took a game from both Peter Roberts and Stan Wan and was edged out in a five-game thriller losing to Nigel McLaughlin. Y Morfa B did not secure any other games and lost 14-24.
