There has been slight delay to this week’s report and results updates because I was unable to access TT365.
Division One:
In division one Trinity A top the table having won each of their three fixtures, this week accounting for third placed Amlwch B 23-12. Abhishek Bathula tops the individual standings beating the previously unbeaten Hanniel Chung 3-1. The closest encounter witnessed Hanniel Chung beating Stuart Dearden 11-6 in the deciding fifth game.
Division Two:
In division two Trinity C lie top of the pack having played four matches, this week beating Henllan B 28-7. Ellis Hughes won each of his singles matches and teamed up with Kate Lai to land the doubles. The tightest match went the way of Andrew Hughes who beat Iain MacGillivray 11-6 in a fifth game decider.
Craig-y-Don A lie second and are one of three unbeaten teams. This week they beat Henllan B 26-12. Both Ady Waugh and Dave Foster won their singles dropping just one game each. They paired up in the doubles a won a five-game thriller at the expense of Iain MacGillivray and Don Grigg.
The closest fixture of the season so far resulted in unbeaten fourth placed Amlwch C beating sixth placed Trinity B 20-9. Andrew Chamberlain won singles matches and captain Rob Stewart overcame Abbas Walji11-8 in the fifth, but it was not enough. Two wins a piece for both Emyr Owen and Peter Higgins and a three straight by Abbas Walji at the expense of Gareth Mitchell ensured the narrowest of wins for the islanders,
Fifth placed Rhyl B beat Craig-y-don C 28-9. Steve Lowe secured man of the match honours dropping just one game in the singles to Bernie Bates. He was ably supported by Fred Moore who also won his singles dropping two games on the night. Steve and Fred teamed up in the doubles running out 3-1 winners at the expense of Steve Albinson and Bill Wells.
