Match Report
Please find attached the Employment v BTB scoresheet played on wed 6.3.19. Rishi was due to play for BTB, but had to pull out at short notice so Ross stepped in at the last minute.
It was a very enjoyable match with Employment winning comfortably 8/2.
But as we know score lines don’t always tell the whole story.
BTB’s two games were won by Flavinda and Geoff.
Flavinda v Chris - Chris beat both Geoff and Ross 3 straight, but against Flavinda she rapidly went 2 games up against him. Chris managed to pull back the next two games 11/1 and 11/2! to make it all level, but Flavinda was playing very well and went on to win the decider 11/4, an upset and an excellent performance, when she came off she was heared to say “ where did that come from”.
She also took Sam to 4, who played very well to beat her.
Geoff v Sam - Geoff also put in a great performance going two games up against Sam only to be pegged back by Sam, which took it to a 5th game, but it was Geoff who went on to win that one.
I should also mention Flavinda and Geoff put up a very good doubles match, pushing Chris and myself to 4 games before finally losing out. If BTB go down which is now very likely, I’m sure it won’t be long before they come back up.
