In-form Rainham 2 were not able to field their usual line up when they travelled to Sturdee 2 this week but still put up a good fight just going down 4-6. The score could easily have been reversed as 4 of the games went the distance with Sturdee winning 3 of these. The Sturdee trio of Mike Porter, Peter Stokes and Mehdi Golchehreh all managed 2 wins with Stokes having to come back from 2 legs down to deny Mick Hambelton what would have been a very good treble. Stokes also took 5 legs to get past Jaspal Plaha, who was playing up from the 3rds, but was unable to master John Coleman. Rainham regulars Coleman/Hambelton then took the Doubles in straight legs for the 4th point.
