Cliffe Woods 3 avenged a recent Charles Stampe Trophy loss to Boxley 2 when the 2 sides met this week in the league at Blue Bell Village Hall. Woods' showed they meant business when they included Peter Davis in their line up for only the 3rd time this season and he duly recorded an untroubled hatrick. Boxley's best player was Gary Hentschel who took care of both of the Mortleys. Boxley's 3rd point was won by Lyndon Gurr who overcame Trevor in a 5 legger in the opening game of the evening but couldn't get past Peter Mortley. Trevor did beat Derek Myers for his single and then combined with son Peter to take the Doubles to complete the 3-7 scoreline which keeps Woods near the top of Div 1.
