Anchs 4 were only able to send 2 players to Upnor's Frog Island and paid the price going down 2-8. Dick Ellis showed all his fighting qualities to come back from losing the 1st 2 legs against Dave Gracey to record one of Anchs' points and Aubrey Maryott had a fine 4 leg victory over Marylyn Dudgeon for the other. Peter Worthington remained undefeated in singles and Doubles and Upnor hold onto top spot in the Doubles table as a result. It is getting very tight at the bottom of Div 1 and Anchs are one of 4 sides fighting to avoid the 2nd relegation spot but crucially do have a game in hand.
