Luton 4 must be relieved they are unlikely to have to play promotion seeking Howard 3 next season as they have been thrashed 20-0 in the 2 fixtures between the sides this season. The visitor's game last week against the other Luton side had to be postponed and so were fresh to exact maximum damage. Only Captain Tony Boarer looked likely to get on the scoresheet for Luton pushing Alex Clarke all the way before losing 13-11 in the final leg. Fine margins. Other than that it was a comfortable night for Clarke, Del Bartholomew and Player of the Match John Kane.
