These two teams were locked together on 134 points before the match but a solid team performance gave Luton 3 a 7-3 win over hosts Cliffe Woods 3. Ian Sayer led the way with a fine hatrick for Luton backed up with braces for Leigh Hickey and Phil Goldsmith, who both beat Trevor Mortley and Andy Larner. Peter Mortley replied with 2 wins and a Doubles victory with Dad Trevor. Both sides have had good seasons but it looks like the 2nd promotion spot is now between Rainham 2 and Howard 3.
