Cliff Woods can count themselves unlucky with the result flattering their 1st string. Five matches went the distance with only Peter Mortley's fifth leg win over Alan Bridle to show for it. The latter was in tremendous form, taking out Vinnie in four legs to post  two great wins. Chris Drury picked up a comfortable treble, and Paul Sidders let a two leg lead slip to lose the last three legs 11,7 to Vinnie. The doubles also went to the wire and once again a two leg lead was squandered by Cliff Woods 2.
