Tim Vaughan and Ian Parkes went undefeated in Sturdee's excellent 8, 2 win over Anchorians  3. Paul Willis and Paul Norman both defeated Dave Bonner, the former 11,7 in the fifth and the latter three straight. The doubles was a close encounter with Parkes & Vaughan teaming up and beating Willis & Norman in four legs to secure the 8,2 victory
