Luton 1 whitewashed Cliff Woods 2, with maximums from Russell Bates, veteran Dennis McConkey who was outstanding on the night and skippy.   Flat king maestro Paul Sidders showed some resistance and at one point looked like he would shock Russell Bates, but the latter digged deep to win in four. Colin Swan and Dennis McConkey was arguably the match of the night with the former trying to outsmack the veteran but Dennis just edged home in five. Skippy for once, player of the match!
