Cliff Woods could only field two players but still managed a draw. Dave McAulay was quick of the blocks against Alan Longhurst, storming into a two leg lead but couldn't sustain it and went down two an inevitable fifth leg defeat. Mark Keefe had a good three leg victory over Alan Bridle who couldn't find any form, but that soon changed,  with two good wins,  his combination of good hitting and horrible spin flummoxed skippy, but only just, 11, 9 in the fifth, ,skippy's fifth leg nightmare continues!.  Dennis Mconkey  also couldn't  find any form and went down in three. Mark Keefe can count himself unlucky against Longhurst, the latter having the rub of the green. Keefe And McAuly teamed up well in the doubles to secure the draw
