Div 1 newcomers Rainham 4, clinched a 2nd successive 6-4 victory. This week they faced their 3rd string clubmates who could only field 2 players as Captain Jim "the Jumper" Davie, failed a late fitness test on his injured leg.  Jim's son Tim, and  last week's hero Jaspal Plaha, were left to do battle and they both beat Graham Watts on his seasonal debut and also won the Doubles together. Tim added a 2nd victory against Sam Woodcock over 5 legs to secure the 4th point. Alan Morton was in good form for the 4th's going unbeaten in his 2 singles to claim the Player of the Match.
