A competitive match at Newington Village Hall saw Sturdee 2 hang on for a 6-4 victory. They raced into a 5-1 lead before the Rainham 3 trio of Jazz Plaha and Tim and Jim Davie each earned a singles victory and a 5th leg doubles success for their 4 points. Player of the Match was Mehdi Golchehreh who went unbeaten on the night supported by Paul Willis with a brace and a single for Peter Stokes. Willis had a particularly busy night being involved in four 5 leg battles in singles and Doubles and only being denied a personal treble by a tremendous comeback from Tim, from a 2 leg deficit.
