Rainham 2 slipped to their 7th consecutive defeat, this week 3-7 at the hands of visitor's Boxley 1. Player of the Match was Gary Hentschel who scored Boxley's first hatrick of the season but he had to work hard for it. He just got past Mick Hambelton deuce in the 5th and also had to go to a deciding leg and toe to toe against Mike Ingram in an entertaining hard hitting battle. Hambelton won his other 2 games against Lyndon Gurr and Barry Roles. Teammates Ingram and John Coleman came out 2nd best to Gurr and Roles but got their revenge beating that pair in the Doubles at the end of the evening for the hosts 3rd point. This was Rainham's first Doubles win of the season.
