The evening started well for Chatham Dorset as Gareth Fox beat Nick Stokes in the opening game and Julian Barker outlasted Peter Stokes over the maximum distance. However, that was that, as Sturdee won all remaining points to condemn Dorset to an 8-2 loss and bottom spot with all their fixtures now completed. Dorset have battled hard all season to climb out of the lower reaches of Div One but havent quite managed it. Sturdee are currently 3rd and have an outside chance of 2nd spot with one game remaining. Dan Stokes was Player of the Match with his hatrick which was achieved despite also playing up for Sturdee 1 on an adjoining table at the Howard Centre.
