Top met bottom at Luton on Wednesday and the result was a predictable comparatively easy win for Luton although Peter Baker for Rainham beat Phil Midgley and only lost to both Mick Forrester and Mary Ball in five sets.  Elsewhere both Eddie Stevens and Tony Parry found the Luton team of Mick, Mary and Phil too strong as both Mick and Mary completed trebles and Phil got a brace.  The doubles was conceded in favour of Luton.
