There was never more than one game in this enthralling draw as Chatham Hector won the first game when Jon Jennings beat Keith Adams in four only for John Caplen to even things up in beating John Allen.  Shaune Hollis restored Hector's lead with a win over Bob Mahon only for John Caplen to level it again in beating Jon Jennings.  Shaune beat Keith and Bob then beat John Allen to level it at 3-3.  Rainham then took a 4-3 lead when John Caplen completed his treble with victory over Shaune Hollis.  Back came Hector as Jon Jennings beat Bob and John Allen beat Keith thanks to two of the most outrageous bits of luck at 12 all in the fourth hitting first the right edge then the left to take the set 14-12.  Rainham 5 forced the draw when taking the doubles in five.
