In the match of the week in this division Luton Invicta narrowly beat Hector as third played host to second.  As usual when this happens the only team to come out of it really happy were Gannet as the others took points off each other.  In a well fought contest both Mick Forrester and Keith Ball got trebles for Invicta but the Hector trio of John Allen, Shaune Holliss and Jon Jennings all beat luckless Phil Midgeley and rather surprisingly given previous doubles results Hector won the doubles to get their first win of the season overcoming the loss of the second set 11-1 and going 2-1 down in sets to finally win in five.
