Luton Invicta are trying their best to close the gap between them and Gannet at the top of the division and did their cause no harm when whitewashing Rainham 6 with Keith Ball, Mick Forrester and Mary Ball all maintaining their positions near the top of the averages with trebles although John Parry tried his best to hamper Mary's progress by taking a 2 sets to love lead in their game before Mary finally won 11-3 in the fifth but there was no such luck for Eddie Stevens and newcomer Rad Lackan although both had their moments with Eddie taking Mick to 4 and Rad nearly taking a set from Keith, only losing a close set 14-16.
