Match Report

A strange match with a few upsets as Belfast got off to a great start with a fine 7, 3 triumph
Howard could only field two players but it didn't stop captain Alex Clarke coming back from 2 down to beat beat the incomparable Shev Mcdonald!  11,9 in the fifth, a terrific victory in the first match of the night. Robert Jaroszynski almost made it two nil but once again came unstuck in the fifth leg, this time to inform Charlie Cook, fresh from his demolishing of Dean Chipperfield,  in the Penny Summers. Belfast captain and the ever improving Segun Ake helped himself to one win, but couldn't follow that up, going down three straight to Jaroszynski.
The doubles was just edged home by Howard to give them a respectable three points
