A fantastic match with five going the distance. 2003 medway champion   Dean Chipperfield played his first match for Cumberland in the premier and found his range, in taken out Brian Lees three straight and Segun Ake in five. Jamie Somerset took a two leg lead over  Brian Lees, 11,3, 11,7 before the Belfast player fought back to win 11,9 in the fifth. Harry Jones picked up a brace, which included a fifth leg win over Lees and a three leg triumph over an out of sorts  Segun Ake.  Jamie Somerset was blown away by Charlie Cook in the first two legs, but after looking down the barrell, he somehow found some inner resolve,  to win 11,9 in the fifth. Chipperfield and Jones teamed up in the doubles to win in four and secure the 7,3 victory
