Match Report
The top of the table clash couldn't produce a winner. Paul Cronin is back to his belligerent best picking up a brilliant maximum, the best, a three leg triumph over the incomparable Mark Buckley. The latter looked like he would be heading for a possible treble after powering past Alan Longhurst and Chris Drury but was taken out, surprisingly, three straight by the Cliff superstar. Alan Longhurst registered a brace, which included a hard fought fifth leg win over Martin Birley, 11,5 the final leg. Stuart Fritter and Martin Birley both overcame a luckless Chris Drury, who did win the first leg over the Chatham player, but was just edged out 14,12, 12,10 the last two legs. Chatham managed to win the doubles to secure the draw, which was probably a fair result on the night
