Another excelllent  win for Cliff to consolidate their position at the top of the premier. Chris Drury started proceedings with a three leg victory over Ross Childs then Alan Longhurst demolished Martin Ball three straight. Then arguably the match of the night saw Paul Cronin having to dig deep to take out Miro 11,5 in the fifth. The latter was in excellent form for Luton, picking up a brace, which included two fifth leg victories, Alan Longhurst and Chris Drury on the receiving end. Martin Ball finally found some form to defeat Chris Drury, who will be slightly disappointed he didn't give him much of a game. Paul Cronin swept aside his other opponents and Cliff kept up their good doubles form, to take the match 7,3
