Cliff Wood's title ambitions took a turn for the worse, whitewashed by their rivals in the top of the table clash.
Graham French, Simon Forest and Alan Watson losing just a couple of legs in the drubbing. 
Alan Longhurst is usually so reliable for Cliff, but  surprisingly couldn't muster a win, the rub of the green eluding  him. Chris Drury fought a tight battle with Alan Watson, winning the first leg leg 13,11 then almost taking the second, before going down 14,12, before the Howard player rallied to win the next two
Skippy also played well in patches and had game point over Alan Watson before the later stormed to victory.
Graham French and Simon Forest were in inspired form, never taking their foot off the peddle.
The doubles was a tight encounter with Cliff just falling short, 11,9 in the fifth, to complete the thrashing
