Chatham looked on course for second spot going into the last match of the season but Luton put paid to their chances with a credible 5, 5 draw. Mark Buckley picked up his customary treble for Chatham but Martin Birley had a rare off night for Chatham, just squeezing past Ross Childs in five but losing to both Will Wrapson and Martin Ball, who since his health scare, has been even better!.  Ross Childs accounted for Greg Hackers in four which secured five points for Luton. Chatham won the doubles to make sure they were not defeated on the night but will have to settle for a third place finish
