In a close match, Howard 2 used their recent Premier experience to secure the 6-4 victory courtesy of the Doubles. However, Player of the Match was Jacob Goodchild, who registered a fine treble in his Div 1 debut for Chatham Dorset. He had to come back from 2 legs down to defeat Howard Captain Alex Clarke, thereby denying Alex his own hatrick as he earlier had beaten Trevor Towers and Shaune Holliss both in the 5th. Rob Jaroszynski also beat Trevor and Shaune and teamed up with Alex to take the all important Doubles and secure the win. Roger Morley won the away side's other point beating the luckless Shaune  in another game which required a final leg.
